Update sort of: Things have been going on in my life to where I could not justify buying ink, but now things are calming down to where I might talk my wife into letting me get some next month, so I can finish the two-tone D-Day viper, plus a surprise that Revell Fan has come up with, but I won't say till after I get ink and build it.

I recently retraced the light gray lines, and made them black on the template that have the parts for the sub-frame of ninjatoes MKII Viper. I made a PDF of it, and then sent it to ninjatoe to see if I could upload it here for people having trouble seeing the original light gray lines when cutting out the parts. He agreed that it wouldn't change the model because those parts are inside, then he gave me permission to upload the PDF here. Below is a screen grab of the reply from ninjatoe, and a screen grab of the black line template.

I started redoing the General Lee viper recolor. I have recolored two templates (body, top engine, and top fin). The sub-frame don't need recoloring, so I print all three and built that much of the model. Working on recoloring side engines template, then the wings. The stand will be easy because all I have to do is slap letters, and graphics on it. I PM zathros, and got an "ok" because of issues over the rebel flag here in the United States.

This model is based on the car nothing else. Below is pictures of the model I have built so far. Except the stand. It is from the two-tone D-Day Invasion recolor viper that I started to build. I changed the lettering on the nose to match the car's lettering, and black on tip of the nose, and the cockpit. Did some other things to make it look better.

www.inkproducts.com is the cheapest place to get ink. The use O.E.M. ink, I am not at liberty to say how I know this, but it is the same stuff you pay way too much for. Spend $100 dollars on an "ink refill station", and you will get two sets of cartridges, full, ready to go, and these are refillable. They give you the syringes necessary to refill them and huge bottles of ink, enough to last you around a year or more. Go to their website, call them, they actually answer the phone, tell them what printer you want, what you want to do, (Get Pigment Ink if your printer can handle it, Dye ink fades from Sunlight, and runs if water touches it, Pigment Ink is Archival, up to 99 years or more, I believe, much longer if kept out of the Sun ). They will tell you what to write on the online ordering form. They have never messed up and order, and they sell the best ink you can buy. They also have CISS methods available. :)

I buy from e-bay for $25.00 for one color and one black cartridge. I was buying from stores for $60-$70 for both. I finished building Revell Fan's recolor. The recolor is based on enc86's Red Baron paint scheme. Been trying to contact him on deviantart for about seven weeks now. I got his home address, and search for a phone number. Found one, but been busy packing to move to a new place. I did get the last templates recolored for the General Lee viper, and built the stand, and side engines. see pics below. Plus a picture of the Red Baron viper.

@blake7 Both the "Red Baron" and the "General Lee" Vipers look GREAT!!!

@Revell-Fan I think that Catherine Bach would look good in a Viper Pilot's uniform. :tank: ;)

For $100 dollars, you get two Blacks cartridgest, full, two of each color, full, and One Huge black Bottle and 3 smaller bottles of the colors. These will each fill each cartridge around 20 times. (3 Syringes, 1 Print Head Cleaner Syringe, and Nozzle Cleaner solution, included, plus instructions. High initial investment, that pays off instantly. I think I figured once I was paying around $1.00 dollar per cartridge refill.

I did check it out. $38 for my HP Deskjet 1000 J110 series. I just found out it doesn't do boarder less printing. Which means I have about an inch of space on each side of the page.

I am putting the Red Baron Viper in the downloads. I called the guy who first made the paint scheme on a plastic MKII Viper that this recolor is based on. He said it was ok as long as I gave him credit, and the model was free.
