thought i'd give UHU02's x-wing a go. i see that nero_on_fire is doing his build also, this is gonna be fun. i went to my local office supply store and had them print it out on 60 lb 11 x 17 paper. 8 1/2 x 11 was too small for me to work with( yea, i know, chicken..:)). been working on it off and on for a little while and it's a amazing model to say the least. so's here are the pic's of what s going onxwing 006.jpga old piece of a backscracher tube came in handy punching out the red dots.xwing 007.jpgall cut n ready to goxwing 008.jpgfront section done.

ok, more pic's.. this is a blast to do. it's really a shame that so much on the detail is hidden inside the body after it's in place, but i know it's there and i can point it out to other people ( if they look at it)..and yes, i did slow down ...a little bit...on the build. xwing 026.jpg case in point on detailxwing 027.jpgnice small rollingsxwing 028.jpg can just make out "danger" on the sides of the tubesxwing 029.jpg all in place

Study this pic, and my suggestion in the pics underneath. I think this would add great detail to your model. :)

viper-jpg.149275

The suggestion is what's important, use UHU outside piece, but cut out the hole, Cut out the very center, and slip it into the whole that's left. Making it look like a vain with blades, again, using UHU's piece, but adding real vanes, angled, and I would mount them to a small tubeI for support. Glue that in, and it will make the model "POP", as this piece does not really make sense. This would give the appearance of it being able to spin, and add depth. My Render is for reference, I made that quick and dirty, to try and explain what I was saying with a pic. Just a suggestion, as you are really early on. ;)

Just a way of making it pop, and adding some realism. No one else has done it either, so yours will be unique, in that sense. :)
