White Glue is PVA Sorry to be picky but I did the mistake hunting for the right glues.

Ehm! :muted: Damned acronyms! :shamefullyembarrased: You're right! Think that I work in a laboratory. I should not mistake chemical abbreviations!!! Well let's say "white glue" from now on!

The trick of the cling film is really new for me! WOW it seems a great gimmick! I cannot wait to give it a try. Now you are the master of glue in my personal ranking!
The only problem is how to steal the iron from my wife without giving explanations!

When my (now ex) wife used to complain about me using the iron for my hobbies and DIY projects, I used to calmly remind her that there is no need to complain, because she never used the damn thing anyway!!!!

Well to be honest that was not my Idea... I just tried it... I tried to delaminate the cards afterwards but I did noch manage it withoug tearing the paper.
The cling film melts the two sheets together. I found this very useful Just fiddle around with the temperature a bit until the result is good.

And no... I not a master of anything, I just collect ideas and use the in my opinion most useful of them to achieve my goals But thank you anyway

*LOL* Dan. Nice eyes... This is a model I am doing currently for a contest. When the contest is over I surely will present the finished Viper in the Thread.
The model is not intentional on the pic... ignore it ( I therefore deletetd the pic because of the contest rules which say that the building process has to be shown only in the original (german) forum)
I normally build two or three models at the same time to get some relief when it comes to the fiddly parts

It is really beautiful. I might re-enforce that wing spare with a whittled down Popsicle stick. You crack it at where in bends, then use a hard glue to fix the cracks at the posing/mounting angle. It is quite superb though.

I was an avid fisherman, and I could bait the hooks better than anyone else could. They said I was the master-baitor of the boat!

@zathros : I do not think that the finished structure needs any reinforcements as there are cardboard triangles glued onto as you can see on the pic. The construction seems to be very sturdy.
So i continued slowly with the wings. The reinforcement structure of the wing is finished. The triangles for the lower side of the wings are cut and the wing sheeting is ready to assemble.
A quick overview of my workplace shows: All parts placed and ready to glue
As I have to finish some other builds, progess is a bit slow... Apologies for that

@DanBKing: Just to train your eyes, you will find some eyecandy on the picture again... And now I rechecked with the contest crew that such pics are suitable to post in other forums. The building process of my Contest Viper can be found in the german forums just in case one is interested.

You should be fine. The wings don't stick out that far, and as they do narrow to a point. Personally, and only because I have so much of it around, I would have ran a length of TIG welding wire down the leading edge of one wing, then across the spar, down the leading edge of the other wing. It isn't for now, it is for years from now, when moisture, and entropy grabs hold ot it. I think it is also fine the way it is, it looks great!

Just a quick lifesign Yes I am still alive and the model is not yet finished. I found out (at the perfect point after glueing) that I printed the wings a bit too large by my own fault. Currently trying to remove the glueid in wings and redo them.
Sorry for not posting in a long time but I am still coping a bit with my illness

Just thought I would mention this. I learned this from my Mother many decades ago. When using an Iron on a Silk, or likewise delicate material, use paper bags (real paper) in between the object and the iron, and drop some water, as this will cause a steam effect, and will also dry out instantly, and the object is protected by thee harshness of the Iron by the cardboard paper.
